USA Deaf Sports Federation is pleased to announce that Jeff Wolfe has joined as Director of Development. Originally from North Carolina, Wolfe currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and two sons. After graduating from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., Wolfe began his fundraising career at Gallaudet as a Development Associate primarily focusing on alumni and faculty and staff campaigns. He has since built an extensive career in nonprofit fundraising including serving as Director of Development for private schools in middle Tennessee and eventually earning his way to become the CEO for a local YMCA.
Wolfe has always been a natural athlete and avid outdoorsman. Growing up, Wolfe poured his energy into basketball and football playing up through his high school years. Afterwards, Wolfe turned his energy to softball, sand (beach) volleyball and running half marathons. For over 15 years, Wolfe also worked as a certified personal trainer, specializing in rehabilitation as well as training elite athletes. To stay involved with sports, Wolfe continues to coach and referee various sports leagues from local YMCAs to high school level competitions. Jeff's strength, adaptability, and experience with grassroots development programs, grant and donor management, and developing strategic partnerships adds tremendous value to USADSF's strategic growth.
Access to full communication provides a deeper focus and unleashes athletes to perform at their highest level.—Jeff Wolfe
Wolfe brings a wealth of experience to USADSF in building development programs and creating sustainable funding streams. His strong relationship building skills, love for sports, coupled with his desire to help athletes live out their greatest potential makes him a natural fit for USADSF. “The absence of communication barriers in deaf sports is everything,” Wolfe commented when asked about the importance of Deaf sports and the Deaflympic movement. “Access to full communication among administrators, officials, coaches and players provides a deeper focus and enjoyment of participation and therefore unleashes athletes to perform at their highest level.”
Wolfe will work closely with USADSF leadership and more specifically, Executive Director Jim Crane, to increase the organization’s financial strength through strategic relationships in order to sustain the mission of USADSF for many years.
