Safe Sport

To promote a safe and respectful environment for our athletes, SafeSport training is critical.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit committed to building a sport community where participants can work and learn together free of emotional, physical and sexual abuse and misconduct.

In accordance with Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017, all USADSF Board Members, Staff Members, and Coaches are required to consent to background screening, to be completed by NCSI or other approved provider, and shall complete the SafeSport training prior to participating in any USADSF-sanctioned delegation or event.

In addition to the initial training, individuals covered by this policy shall complete a refresher course on an annual basis following the completion of the initial training.

All members of USADSF shall take reasonable procedures to limit one-on-one interactions between an individual youth athlete and any adult Participant who is not their legal guardian.

Any allegation of child abuse must be reported to the Center for SafeSport, local law enforcement, and/or child and family services, depending upon your state. Any allegation of sexual misconduct, regardless of the age of the parties involved, must also be reported to the Center.  Reports can be made to the Center for SafeSport at 833-587-7233 or online here:  https://safesport.i-sight.com/portal.
